This is an optional fee for department; it may also be paid by employee.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>","background_color":"#ffffff","width":"width-medium"},{"acf_fc_layout":"accordion_new","anchor_id":"","classes":"","title":"<h4><strong>Steps for Completing Journal Entry H-1B Fee Payment Process<\/strong><\/h4>","description":"General Accounting requires a completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/iso\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Copy-of-Journal-Entry-Template-for-H-1B-fees_4.21.xlsx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Journal Entry<\/a> (JE) Excel file for all H-1B fees.\u00a0If it is not possible to obtain the required signatures directly on the JE Excel file, departments must submit:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>the JE Excel file <em>and<\/em><\/li>\r\n \t<li>a PDF version of the JE form that includes all required signatures.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe most recent Journal Entry template was updated on <strong>April 21, 2026<\/strong>. If there are any discrepancies or underpayments, ISO returns the Journal Entry to the department for correction and resubmission.
