effectively.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2>Who Needs URcompass Access?<\/h2>\r\nYou should request URcompass access if you are responsible for initiating or managing immigration-related requests on behalf of your department.\r\n\r\nThis includes:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Department administrators or coordinators submitting requests for:<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/iso\/for-departments\/nsif\/\">New Student Intake Forms (NSIF)<\/a> for admitted international students<\/li>\r\n \t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/iso\/global-visitor-program\/hosting-a-visitor\/gvp-departmental-forms\/\">Visiting New Student Intake Forms (VNSIF)<\/a> who will study at UR through the Global Visitor Program (GVP)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>J-1 scholars (e.g., new scholar requests, extensions, updates)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>H-1B employees (e.g., new sponsorship requests, extensions, amendments)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Departmental contacts working directly with ISO on student, scholar, or employee immigration processes<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIf you are unsure whether you need access, please contact ISO\u2014we\u2019re happy to help determine the appropriate setup.\r\n\r\n<hr \/>\r\n\r\n<h2>Who Does Not Need URcompass Access?<\/h2>\r\nYou do <strong>not<\/strong> need access if you are:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>A faculty member or academic advisor serving as a <strong>2nd approver<\/strong> for student requests (e.g., CPT, Reduced Course Load, program extensions)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A staff member providing academic or administrative support but not submitting immigration requests<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Anyone who interacts with ISO processes only through email or student-facing workflows<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nGranting access only where needed helps maintain system clarity and security.\r\n\r\n<hr \/>\r\n\r\n<strong>Not sure if you need URcompass (via the Document Upload e-form).\r\n\r\nWhile the Document Upload e-form remains in place for other types of requests, <strong>CPT and OPT requests are now separate e-forms<\/strong>\u00a0and will require that students submit their requests in URcompass.\r\n\r\nFor more information about the changes in processes which may require your participation, please review
