Rank Normalized by Faculty Size - rank of highly competitive federal R&D expenditures from HERD normalized by IPEDS non-medical tenure track faculty plus AAMC tenure track basic science from higher education institutions with comprehensive baccalaureate programs.

Licensing Revenue - sum of royalties and equity payments deposited within the July 1 - June 30 fiscal year for licensed UR technologies. Data is sourced from UR Finance and reported out of the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Licensing Revenue Rank (AUTM) - rank given to the University by external organization Association of University Technology Managers. The rank is based on the fiscal year licensing revenue total; other attributes such as the number of licenses, size of the institution, research dollars awarded, etc. do not factor into the rank. Data is sourced from AUTM.
