The next "Wilson Commons Wednesdays" celebration will take place
on Oct. 15. The theme will be the celebration of Oktoberfest, featuring music
by Die Zwei Nachbarn, a local German-American band; vendor showcases from Nathan's
Cookie Jar and Fantastic Records; and free samples from Campbell's Chunky Soup
and Bruegger's Bagels. The menu specialties will include warm German potato
salad, Bavarian pretzels, Rosti potatoes, and Black Forest Cake and will be
prepared by the Wilson Commons Student Activities Office.
This new program takes place on the third Wednesday of every month from 11 a.m.
to 3 p.m. in Wilson Commons. Each month's festivity features a theme that includes
live music, vendors, free samples and coupons, and live cooking demonstrations.
Lunch tickets are available for purchase on site.
Future "Wilson Commons Wednesdays" will take place on Nov. 19 and
Dec. 3, highlighting celebrations of fall harvest and the holiday season. The
entire University community is invited to attend and enjoy music, food, and
a friendly atmosphere.
