This year's annual book fair hosted by the Friends of the University of Rochester Libraries will offer more than 50 exhibitors from the northeastern United States and southern Canada who will sell rare and out-of-print books, maps, prints, and other unusual items from many fields.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the New York State Armory, 145 Culver Road (between Monroe and Park avenues, just off the Culver Road exit of Interstate 490). Lunch and snacks are available at the armory.
Admission is $4 at the door; free to Friends' members and to students. The fair benefits the University of Rochester Libraries.
During the day, visitors can bid on a silent auction of fine books, artwork and other unusual collectibles. At the Friends' book booth, thousands of used books will be on sale.
Additional support for the book fair has been provided by University of Rochester Press/Boydell & Brewer, Inc. For more information, check the Web page of the Friends of the University of Rochester Libraries at http://www.lib.rochester.edu/friends/bookfair.htm or call (585) 275-4461.
