The American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children has awarded Dr. Dante Cicchetti, director of the Mount Hope Family Center, its Outstanding Research Study Award for 1995.
The research award is given to the authors of the article or book published in the last year that has made the most significant contribution to the field of child abuse.
Cicchetti's article entitled "Maltreatment, Attachments, and the Self-System: Emergence of an Internal State Lexicon in Toddlers at High Social Risk" was published in the Development and Psychopathology journal.
