The University of Rochester Yellowjackets, an all-male a cappella group, will give a Homecoming performance at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus.
Performing renditions of today's hit songs that are usually arranged by the group members themselves, the award-winning Yellowjackets have recently received a perfect 5.0 by the Recorded A Cappella Review Board. They have also been featured on the Best of College A Cappella (BOCA) compilation album. The 10-member group consists of men of all class years and all voice parts---and yes, they do wear yellow jackets!
This year's Homecoming concert will feature an alumni performance and a combined effort with the current "Jackets," who will then perform their most recent hits.
The group will have compact discs for sale, as well as promotional give-aways.
Tickets to the performance are $5 and will be available at the door. Please contact the College Music Program at (585) 275-2828 at least five days in advance to request any special accommodations.
