Donations of books of all types are being sought for the 31st Annual Book Sale hosted by the Friends of the University of Rochester Libraries. Any kind of book, except textbooks, is desired-from mysteries, cookbooks, and romance novels to classics, children's books, and those on travel, gardening, and photography.
In a change from recent years, the 2003 book sale will be held in August in Rush Rhees Library on the University of Rochester's River Campus. A special Friends' membership pre-sale and reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22. Then the sale goes public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23 and 24. Price markdowns will be in effect from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is free and parking is open and available on University lots.
Money from the sale supports the University of Rochester Libraries and their collections. For information about dropping off books or becoming a member of the Friends, contact (585) 275-4461.
