As part of the University of Rochester's continuing Skalny Lecture and Artist Series, Krzysztof Biedrzycki, professor of Polish literature at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, will give a lunchtime talk about current trends in Polish literature. The event will take place at noon Friday, March 23, in the Trustee Room of The Meliora on the University of Rochester's River Campus.
Biedrzycki, a former visiting professor at the University of Rochester, is a Kosciuszko Foundation Senior Teaching Fellow in Polish Literature and a current visiting professor at Central Connecticut University. Biedrzycki currently writes book and film reviews for newspapers and edits a literary journal. His books and articles are widely published in Poland.
The Skalny series is presented by the Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies, which hosts lectures, films, and presentations about Poland and other countries in Central Europe. For a luncheon reservation, call the Skalny Center at (585) 275-9898.
