TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, in the May Room of Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester River Campus
ADMISSION: Free, with nominal cost for select appetizers
Moving musical performances, colorful fashions, food, and body art are some of the main attractions that will be featured in the Asian Expo at the University of Rochester, Saturday, Nov. 20, from 2 to 6 p.m., in the May Room of Wilson Commons on the River Campus.
The Expo will have several musical and dance performances to be held throughout the day. In addition, booths are planned to showcase Mehndi, a type of art applied to the hand; fashion, where patrons can have their pictures taken in traditional garb; history, to show regional geography of Asian countries; language, where individuals can have their names printed in another language; religions of the regions; and musical instruments unique to the area.
Admission to the Expo is free, but there will be a nominal charge for select South Asian appetizers.
