A group of University of Rochester resident advisors and the Community Service Network are sponsoring "Giving It Up for the Year 2000: A Charity Concert" to benefit CHILD and FOODLINK from 8 to 10 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3, in Upper Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.
The event will feature a cappella performances by Midnight Ramblers, Vocal Point, and the Yellowjackets. Proceeds will go to CHILD, which provides support for children whose parents have died or have a terminal illness, and FOODLINK, a local clearinghouse for food and resources to soup kitchens, food pantries, and other emergency food providers.
Admission is $5 and a canned good that can be left at the door. Tickets will be sold in advance at the Common Market in Wilson Commons and there will be limited tickets sold at the door. Please contact Alex Vivenzio at (585) 274-3276 at least five days in advance to request special accommodations.
