TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, in Strong Auditorium on University of Rochester's River Campus.
ADMISSION: $5 general public, $3 for students with identification; free admission for children. Tickets will be sold at the door. Note: Free parking is available on University lots after 7 p.m. on weeknights and all weekend.
The University of Rochester's Gospel Choir will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.
The choir, conducted by Rev. Alvin Parris III, serves as an ambassador of goodwill in the University and community through the music of the black gospel tradition. Parris, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, has directed the group since 1976. He has established gospel choirs at local colleges, including Rochester Institute of Technology and St. John Fisher College.
Admission is $5 for the general public and $3 for students with identification. Admission is free for children. Tickets will be sold at the door on the night of the event.
