TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Rochester Bach Festival at Christ Church, 141 East Ave.
ADMISSION: $10 general public, $5 students. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
The University of Rochester’s Chamber Singers will perform during the Rochester Bach Festival at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at Christ Church, 141 East Ave.
The Chamber Singers were invited to make their first appearance at the annual festival. Their main piece will be “Bach’s Cantata No.140 Wachet Auf.” In addition, they will be performing music by William Byrd, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, and Heinrich Schutz.
Led by L. Brett Scott, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, the Chamber Singers is a select choral ensemble dedicated to the performance of all periods and styles of quality choral literature.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, $10 for general public and $5 for students. For more information, contact the music department at (585) 275-2828.
