ADMISSION: Free and open to the public.
The University of Rochester's Chamber Singers will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at St. Anne Church, 1600 Mt. Hope Ave., as part of a new concert series sponsored by the church to showcase its facilities and outstanding acoustics.
The concert, titled "Sacred Music for a Sacred Space," will include movements from William Byrd's "Mass for Four Voices," a set of spirituals, works by Canadian composer Healey Willan, and arrangements of southern hymn tunes.
Led by L. Brett Scott, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, the Chamber Singers is a select choral ensemble dedicated to the performance of all periods and styles of quality choral literature.
The concert is free and open to the public; however, donations will be accepted. For more information, contact the music department at (585) 275-2828.
