The Conference and Events Office is holding a Vendor Showcase of meeting-related services and products from noon to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, in the Hirst Lounge in Wilson Commons on the River Campus.
This is the second year for the event, which features representatives from area hotels and attractions and from the conference and events office. Faculty and staff will have the opportunity to discuss upcoming meetings and events with professional event organizers. Information about on- and off-campus venues for lectures, receptions, or other programs, local sightseeing opportunities, and ways to save on accommodations and guest excursions will be available. More than 300 people attended last year’s showcase.
Refreshments will be provided by Aramark and The Meliora. In addition, attendees are encouraged to bring business cards for the prize drawings and giveaways held by many of the exhibitors.
The Conference and Events Office, located in Wallis Hall on River Campus, provides professional planning services for meetings, conferences, and other special events, including budget development, coordination of space requests, housing needs, transportation, registration coordination, and catering.
For more information about the Vendor Showcase, please contact Celia Palmer, director of conference and events, at x3-4571 or Bryan Rotach at x5-1459.
