ADMISSION: Free and open to the public.
Note: Parking is available on University lots on weekends.
The Association for the Development of Interest in the Indian Subcontinent (ADITI) will present its annual cultural fair, South Asian Expo, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.13, in the May Room of Wilson Commons, located on the University of Rochester’s River Campus.
The fair will feature interactive booths exploring different elements of the rich culture of South Asia including food, music, fashion, sports, history, language, religion, and art. Among the activities will be student dance and instrumental performances such as Bhangra and Dandia, caricature art, and body art most popularly done on the hands, known as Mendhi. For special South Asian treats, Thali of India will be selling snacks throughout the event.
