John Barden has been named Director of Administrative Computing Services, a division of Informational Technology Services. He began in mid-November.
“John Barden has considerable experience in building enterprise systems and implementing improvements to the IT systems of large organizations,” said Vice Provost and Chief Information Officer Mely Tynan. “We’re very glad to have him join us.”
Barden has been a senior manager in the Enterprise Solutions Division of BearingPoint since 2002. At BearingPoint, he worked on a variety of large-scale projects for institutions of higher education, health care, telecommunications, and publishing, among other clients. He worked for Andersen Business Consulting during the previous eight years.
He holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics and management from Albion College.
Information Technology Services provides academic, administrative, networking and telecommunications, and data center services to the University community.
