The University Chief Information Officer, Amelia Tynan, is pleased to announce that Kim Milford has been named Information Security Officer at the University of Rochester.
Milford will serve on the Information Technology Services leadership team. Her focus in upcoming months will include information security policy review and development and increased University community awareness and training.
She joins Information Technology Services from the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she served as information security officer and manager. She holds degrees in law and accounting. She is an active presenter, author, and workshop leader in computer security management and security awareness.
Prior to her work in Wisconsin, Milford worked for Helene Curtis as information security officer and IT project manager. She also served as the financial reporting manager for the American Hospital Association for four years.
Information Technology Services provides academic, administrative, networking, telecommunications, and data center services to the University community.
