ADMISSION: Free-will offering for Catholic Relief Services tsunami assistance
A benefit performance by a dozen students from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester. Free-will offerings will be accepted for the work of Catholic Relief Services in many parts of Asia and east Africa destroyed by the tsunami disaster last December.
The students, who are members of the Catholic Newman Community of Eastman, will perform works of sacred and classical music by such composers as Bach and Handel for the Concert at the Cathedra, which is Latin for “the seat of the bishop.” Sacred Heart Cathedral is located at 296 Flower City Park in Rochester.
