The next "Wilson Commons Wednesday" will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 with a theme celebrating Polish food and music. The menu specialties will include potato and sauerkraut pierogis, Polish sausage, Kluski Kapusta Po (Polish noodles and cabbage), Polish style beans and carrots, Mizena (cucumber salad), rye bread, and poppy seed dessert rolls. Lunch is available for $8.
Besides the specialty lunch, the event will feature musical performances by the Yurchenko Family Band, and raffles and samples from South Wedge area businesses including Open Face Eatery, Cheesy Eddie's, Boulder Coffee Co., Beale St. Café, Historic Houseparts, and Rochester Children's Nursery. Guest chefs are the University of Rochester Polish Club. In addition, the event is happening in conjunction with the major and advising fair which will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the May Room of Wilson Commons.
The celebration of "Wilson Commons Wednesdays" is sponsored by Student Activities and Dining Services as a joint effort to engage the entire University community in enjoying an original and festive atmosphere in Wilson Commons on the River Campus.
