TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 22, in Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester's River Campus
ADMISSION: Free and open to the public.
Grassroots, a student environmental group at the University, is sponsoring Earth Day activities including performances, speakers, and information booths on vegetarianism, environmental actions in other countries, and other environmental issues. Student groups that will perform include the Chinese Students and Scholars Association, the Filipino-American Students Association, Sihir Bellydancers, Ballet Performance Group, Radiance Dance Theatre, and Yosakoi, a Japanese culture and dance ensemble. In addition, at 1:30, 2:30, and 4 p.m., representatives from the Rochester Soundscape Society will discuss the group's efforts on noise reduction.
