TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, in the Havens Lounge in Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester's River Campus. There will be a second drive from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, in the Bridge Lounge in Wilson Commons.
ADMISSION: The event is free and open to the public. A new passport costs $97 and a renewal costs $67; the applicant must bring the old passport to renew.
The Center for Study Abroad is hosting two drives to apply for or renew passports from the United States. A representative from the city of Rochester will be on campus with application materials. Apply on the spot or pick up the paperwork to submit later.
To apply for a passport on campus, an applicant must have two passport sized photos; birth certificate, naturalization papers, or an old passport; and a driver's license. Processing time for passports is about eight weeks. The process can be expedited for an additional $60.
Passport photo services are available at Medical Center Photography Office at the Medical School #8633, ground floor. Call (585) 275-5731 to schedule an appointment. Photos can also be purchased at CVS Pharmacy, on the corner of Elmwood and Mt. Hope avenues.
