Door passes are required for admission and can be obtained at the Wilson Commons Information Desk.
For 13 extraordinary days in October of 1962, the world stood on the brink of an unthinkable catastrophe. Across the globe, people anxiously awaited the outcome of a harrowing political, diplomatic, and military confrontation that threatened to end in an apocalyptic nuclear exchange between the United States and the Soviet Union. Kevin Costner stars as Kenny O'Donnell, a special assistant to President John F. Kennedy, the Everyman through whose eyes and ears the story plays out. O'Donnell was a key White House insider with a birds'-eye view of the imbroglio. He wielded significant power in the Kennedy White House and serves as a conduit to the gripping dramatization of one of the most dangerous moments in history.
Seating is limited and is first-come, first-serve. The Student Activities Office and UR Cinema Group are sponsoring this screening. Thirteen Days is rated PG-13. For more information please contact (585) 275-5911.
