The Gala includes a silent auction and raffle, entertainment by the University of Rochester\'s a capella group, the Yellowjackets, hors d\'oeuvres, dining stations, a coffee and dessert bar, and wine and beer tastings.
Paul Burgett, University of Rochester vice president and general secretary, and Jacqueline Cady, chair emeritus of the Early Childhood Development Initiative, will be honored at the event.
ABOUT MT. HOPE FAMILY CENTER: Established in 1979, Mt. Hope Family Center is recognized internationally for integrating scientific research with evidence-based intervention and prevention services for at-risk children and families. That duel approach allows the Center to help Rochester area children and families cope with exposure to violence, trauma, mental illness and maltreatment while at the same time improving treatments for families around the world. Although the Center is well known in the professional community, many area residents are surprised to learn about the its groundbreaking work. The Ruby Slipper Gala is chance to share that success with the Rochester community.
