WHO: U.S. Representative Dan Maffei (D-NY) will give a press conference to highlight the House bill designed to implement President Barak Obama's plan to overhaul the federal student aid system.
TIME, DATE, PLACE: 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18 at the Welles-Brown Room of the Rush Rhees Library on the River Campus.
WHAT: Congressman Dan Maffei will be joined by University of Rochester President Joel Seligman and college students Rachel Twardowski, Laura Dobrzynski, Natalie Scott, and Jessica Gambacurta to discuss the potential changes to student financial aid, including the Pell Grant.
PARKING: Members of the media can stop at the Security Booth on Wilson Boulevard to receive a token and parking pass for the Library Parking Lot, located directly behind Rush Rhees Library, off of Intercampus Drive.
