Registration is open for the 2010 ¡Soy Única! ¡Soy Latina! Rally slated for March 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the University of Rochester\'s River Campus. This year\'s theme, \"Healthy Living, Healthy Choices,\" aims to boost self-esteem, encourage education and career exploration, and promote healthy life choices among young Latinas.
Daisy Martinez, host of the Food Network\'s Viva Daisy! and regular columnist for Every Day with Rachael Ray, will serve as the event\'s madrina, or godmother, leading the girls through the day\'s activities.
The program is sponsored by the University of Rochester, Latinas Unidas, the New York chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, and the City of Rochester.
Soy Única, Soy Latina is open to Latinas ages 7-18, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
