Tuition, room, and board for undergraduates in the College of the University of Rochester will increase 4.18 percent to $51,120 for the 2010-11 academic year.
Tuition will rise 4.25 percent from $37,870 to $39,480 for the coming year with the cost of the most common combined room and board plans increasing 3.93 percent from $11,200 to $11,640. The new tuition rate for undergraduates at the Eastman School of Music also will reflect a 4.25 percent increase to $39,480.

Expenditures on financial aid for undergraduates in the College are expected to grow by more than $3.5 million for a total of $75 million.
The optional student health insurance plan has added prescription drug coverage for the coming year, and the increased premium will be offset somewhat by a second consecutive reduction in the mandatory health fee.
