WHO: From figure eights to toe loops, from triple axles to the Lutz, University of Rochester students, faculty, and staff, along with neighbors from Southwest Rochester, are invited to soar on the ice during the annual Brooks Landing Ice Skating Party.
TIME, DATE, PLACE: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23, at the Genesee Valley Ice Rink located at 131 Elmwood Ave.
WHAT: The ice skating party, which is free and open to the public, creates the opportunity for members of the community to meet and greet University of Rochester students. Participants can rent skates for $2.75 or bring their own.
Event sponsors include NeighborWorks Rochester, the 19th Ward Community Association, the Rochester Center for Community Leadership, Sigma Beta Rho fraternity, and the University of Rochester Community Learning Center.
