The University of Rochester River Jazz Ensemble will perform their final concert of the season on Monday, April 24, at 8 p.m. in Strong Auditorium.
The River Jazz Ensemble, directed by Matt Mealey, will be performing big-band music. The ensemble is composed of 20 students.
Joining the group will be Bob Sneider, a jazz guitar instructor from the Eastman School of Music's Department of Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media. Sneider, who graduated from the University of Rochester in 1993, has toured with jazz notables such as Chuck Mangione, Nat Adderly, and Etta Jones.
The concert is free and open to the public. Call the College Music Program (275-2828) at least five days in advance to request any special accommodations.
