The Publications Unit of the Public Relations Office at the University of Rochester received a bronze award in the 21st Annual International Gallery of Superb Printing Competition, sponsored by the International Association of Printing House Craftsmen.
The award recognizes the department's stationery package designed for the 1994 inauguration of University president Thomas Jackson. It was printed by Oser Press. The win came in the "stationery package, three-color or more" category, the same category in which it placed first earlier this year during a local competition sponsored by the Rochester Club of Printing House Craftsmen Inc.
A record 2,445 entries were submitted to the international competition from all over North America, Puerto Rico and Hong Kong. Seventy Craftsmen Clubs sponsored entries from their individual members.
