TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester River Campus
ADMISSION: Free and open to the public Note: Parking is available on University lots after 7 p.m. weeknights.
The River Jazz Ensemble, a 20-member group specializing in big band music, will perform at 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester River Campus.
The ensemble, directed by Matt Mealey, will perform Chameleon by Herbie Hancock, Maputo by David Sanborn, Soliloquy for Saxophones by David Berger, and Day In, Day Out, made famous by the Count Basie Orchestra.
The concert will also feature the University of Rochester Jazz Combo and is free and open to the public.
