Sarah Williams, assistant director of the University of Rochester's Conference & Events Office since 1995, has been appointed its director.
Williams, who previously worked in development and communications at Eastman Dental Center, has increased external business for the university in her work on special events and conferences, said Richard P. Miller Jr., senior vice president of the University, in announcing her appointment.
Williams earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Ithaca College and a master's degree in business administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. She and the Conference & Events Office will report to Diane Dimitroff in her capacity as director of auxiliary operations.
