Radiance Dance Theater, the oldest dance ensemble on campus, will present its annual spring show, "Defiance," at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 18, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus.

"Defiance" will spotlight a variety of dancing styles, from flamenco and tap to jazz pieces. The program will also include hip hop and modern dancing and a new rendition of "When You're Good to Mama," from the Academy Award-winning film Chicago. The show will also feature a guest performance by the Yellowjackets, one of the University's a cappella ensembles.

The Radiance Dance Theater includes students and members of the University's undergraduate, graduate, and medical center communities. The group has also performed at Meliora Weekend and other University events.

Tickets for this event are $5 for the general public and $4 for the University of Rochester community. They are available at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus and at the door. For more information, call (585) 275-5911.
