Rochester Mayor William Johnson will be inducted as an honorary member of the Golden Key International Honour Society at the University of Rochester on Tuesday, March 25. He will also give the keynote address at the ceremony, which is being held at 7:30 p.m. in The Meliora on the River Campus.

Golden Key is an academic honors organization that recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence in all undergraduate fields of study. This year, 154 students at the University of Rochester are being inducted into the society.

Besides Mayor Johnson, three other individuals will be named honorary members: Theodore Brown, professor and chair of the department of history; Harry Reis, professor of psychology; and Laura Ballou, assistant director of student activities.

The ceremony also will include presentation of the Ford Motor Company/Golden Key Undergraduate Scholar Awards and will be followed by a reception.
