The University of Rochester Wind Symphony will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.

The program's theme, named for Charles Ives' patriotic melody, will be "American Variations." In addition to the title piece, the symphony will perform such works as Philip Parker's "Yankee Doodlin'," William Schuman's "Chester," and "A la Claire Fountaine" by Harry Freedman. Other featured selections include "Divertimento" by Roger Cichy and Jan Van der Roost's "Puszta."

Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, call the College music department at (585) 275-2828.
