The University of Rochester Symphonic Wind Ensemble will give a Family Weekend performance at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 24, in Strong Auditorium on the University's River Campus.

Mitchell Robinson, director of wind activities at the University and faculty member at the Eastman School of Music, will conduct the ensemble in works that include Stephen Melillo's Stormworks! and his arrangement of the national anthem; Stuart Johnson's A Fairground Suite; and John Philip Sousa's Jack Tar March, arranged by ensemble director Donald Hunsberger. The 65-member organization is comprised mostly of non-music majors who gather twice a semester to provide the University and greater Rochester community with free concerts.

This performance is free and open to the public. Please contact the College Music Program at (585) 275-2828 at least five days in advance to request any special accommodations.
