Award-winning journalist Linda Greenhouse will discuss the repercussions and importance of recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions on Wednesday, April 9, at the University of Rochester. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Her talk, titled "The Supreme Court Today," will be presented at 5 p.m. in Hoyt Hall on the River Campus. Since 1978, Greenhouse has been the Supreme Court correspondent for the New York Times. She was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for beat reporting in 1998 for her coverage of the court. She also is a frequent guest on the PBS program Washington Week in Review.
Greenhouse earned her bachelor of arts degree in government from Radcliffe College. Later, she received a master of studies in law degree from Yale Law School, and holds honorary degrees from Brown, Colgate, and Northeastern universities, and from the City University of New York.
Her lecture is sponsored by the Andrew H. and Janet Dayton Neilly Endowed Fund of the University of Rochester River Campus Libraries.
