The University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

David Harman, professor of music and director of orchestral activities, will conduct the orchestra in a program featuring Gounod’s “Petit Suite,” Rachmaninoff’s “Vocalise,” Haydn’s “Symphony No. 103,” and “Concerto for Trombone” by Grondahl.

The University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra is a 35-member group comprised of undergraduate students as well as several graduate students and community members. One of the premier performing groups on campus, the orchestra performs a wide variety of music, from Mozart symphonies to cutting-edge contemporary works. In addition to four formal free concerts in Strong Auditorium every year, the orchestra also gives numerous community performances and tours. Recent tours and performance locations include Montreal, Italy, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands.
