Barry Gaines, professor of English at the University of New Mexico, will give a talk on "King Arthur and His Editors: The 'Quests and Adventures' of the Text of Malory" at 3 p.m. Friday, April 2, in the Rossell Hope Robbins Library in Rush Rhees Library on the River Campus.

Gaines is the author of the book Sir Thomas Malory: An Anecdotal Bibliography of Editions 1485-1985, a survey of editions, adaptations, and translations of Malory's Morte d'Arthur. He has taught courses in Shakespeare and textual criticism at New Mexico since 1979.

Gaines completed his doctorate at the University of Wisconsin and is also director of the Bachelor of University Studies program at the University of New Mexico.
