Daniel R. Wegman Joins University Board of Trustees

Daniel (Danny) R. Wegman, president of Wegmans Food Markets, has been elected to the University of Rochester's Board of Trustees.

Wegman, who graduated with honors from Harvard and is a current member of the boards of directors for the United Way and Rochester Business-Education Alliance, has a longstanding and well-known interest in education. In addition to becoming a University trustee, he will join the Visiting Committee of the University's Margaret Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development.

Also joining the University's Board of Trustees this fall are alumni Carroll A. Gardner, Jr., president of C. A. Gardner & Associates, Atlanta, Georgia; Cathy Jones Minehan, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston; Francis Price, CEO of Q3 Stamped Metal, Inc. and Interact Performance Systems, Inc., Anaheim, California; and Peter Standish, senior partner in the law firm of Weil, Gotshal, & Manges, New York City.
