The University of Rochester Choir and the Chamber Singers will hold a spring concert at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 25, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

Each group will perform selections from its own repertoire and the ensembles will sing two pieces together. The concert will include material by Aaron Copland, Stephen Chatman, and Eric Whitacre. There will also be arrangements of Southern hymn tunes and Stephen Foster songs.

The University Choir is a community oriented performance group, which stresses musical enjoyment and learning. The Chamber Singers is a select choral ensemble dedicated to the performance of all periods and styles of quality choral literature. Both groups are composed of University students and are led by L. Brett Scott, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities.
