The University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra will perform Prokofiev's popular "Peter and the Wolf' as part of a community music program series at the Church of Love.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, is at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, in the church, located at 700 Exchange St.

The piece will be narrated by Bishop Gregory Parris, senior pastor at Church of Love and a chaplain at the University of Rochester. The Chamber Orchestra also will perform Mozart's "Symphony #31."

The University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra is a 35-member group comprised of undergraduate students as well as several graduate students and community members. One of the premier performing groups on campus, the orchestra performs a wide variety of music, from Mozart symphonies to cutting-edge contemporary works. In addition to four formal free concerts in Strong Auditorium every year, the orchestra also gives numerous community performances and tours. Recent tours and performance locations include Montreal, Italy, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands.
