Visiting scholar Lukasz Ronduda will be presenting a lecture titled “The Workshop of the Film Form (1970-1977): Early Film Work from Poland” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the Gowen Room of Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester’s River Campus. The talk is free and open to the public.
Ronduda is curator of new media at the Center for Contemporary Art Zamek Ujazdowski in Warsaw, Poland. He will discuss Polish Structuralist Cinema from the 1960s and 70s. Prior to his appointment, Ronduda was curator at the Department of Photography and Visual Techniques at the Museum of Art in Lódz. He is a graduate of the Department of Art History at the University of Lódz and is working on a doctoral degree in film.
