The University of Rochester Ballet Performance Group’s annual fall show will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester’s River Campus. Admission will be $3 for students and $5 for the general public; tickets are available at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus and at the door.

This show will feature a number of student-choreographed pieces including lyrical, jazz, tap, and hip-hop dances using music by such artists as Janet Jackson, Pink, and Evanescence. The show will also include several classical pieces inspired by the ballet Don Quixote.

The Ballet Performance Group is a dance ensemble whose program is based on ballet disciplines and techniques while incorporating jazz, tap, and hip-hop. The goal of the group is to keep ballet an integral part of student activities on campus and to provide students with an opportunity to perform. The group holds two performances each year and encourages members to take off-campus dance classes and perform outside of the group as much as possible.
