The Alpha Phi Omega coed service fraternity at the University of Rochester will sponsor a spinal cord research benefit concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, in the May Room in Wilson Commons on the University’s River Campus. Tickets are $3 in advance at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus or $5 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the National Spinal Cord Injury Association.
The rock concert will feature four bands: As Tall as Lions of Long Island; The Receiving End of Sirens, from Boston; Cartel, from Atlanta; and Rochester band DSpell.
Alpha Phi Omega, which was started at the University of Rochester in March 1957, is the only national fraternity with service as its primary mission. The organization sponsors numerous service-oriented events on campus each year, and currently has approximately 30 members.
