The University of Rochester Chamber Singers will present a concert of "Music in Time of Conflict" as part of a community concert series at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

The program, which will be presented at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the church at 923 Portland Ave., features music by 20th century composers such as Arvo Part and John Tavener. The highlight will be a complete performance of Randall Thompson's "The Peaceable Kingdom." The event is free and open to the public.

The University of Rochester Chamber Singers, under the direction of L. Brett Scott, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, is a select choral ensemble dedicated to the performance of all periods and styles of quality choral literature.
