Members of the University of Rochester community, local musicians, and the general public will come together for the Tsunami Reconstruction Music Fest, an all-acoustic concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 3, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.

The event features local singers Connie Deming and Maria Gillard, local musician Marvin Stillman, and the Monroe County Bluegrass Ramblers. University of Rochester groups that will be performing include four a cappella ensembles, Vocal Point, the Yellowjackets, the Midnight Ramblers, and After Hours, and the band More Cowbell.

Admission to the concert is $5, and tickets can be purchased at the Common Market in Wilson Commons and at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County, 249 Highland Ave. Proceeds will benefit UNICEF and the agency’s reconstruction efforts.

The event is sponsored by the University of Rochester Arboretum Committee with the cooperation of the UR Tsunami Relief Committee, Grassroots, and the Wilson Commons Student Activities Office. For more information, contact (585) 275-5911.
