The University of Rochester YellowJackets, an all-male a cappella group, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, in the May Room in Wilson Commons on the River Campus.

The program will include a broad selection from a cappella standards to contemporary songs by artists like O.A. R. and Elton John and features A# Arrangement, an all-female a cappella group from the State University of New York at Potsdam. The concert is the group’s annual “Senior Show” and will recognize graduating senior Neil Pawlowski.

Tickets are $7 for the general public and $5 for students. They are available in advance at the Common Market in Wilson Commons and at the door.

Formed in 1956, the group is the University of Rochester’s oldest all-male a cappella ensemble and one of the oldest performing groups on campus. In addition to presenting four on-campus concerts each year, the YellowJackets perform at high schools and college campuses and have appeared at the White House and Disney World and on The Tonight Show. The group toured the East Coast in March, also singing at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. The YellowJackets, who are autonomous and student-run, released their 13th album last fall.
