An exhibition by local artist Paula Crawford, whose colorful paintings and bronze sculptures have been shown in Rochester and throughout the state, will be held from Thursday, Sept. 1, to Sunday, Oct. 2, in the Hartnett Gallery in Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester's River Campus.

Crawford draws inspiration from the region's parks and beaches to create fantastic natural worlds of lush vegetation and sensual biomorphic forms. She will discuss her work during a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the gallery.

Crawford received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and also holds a Master of Science degree in education from Nazareth College. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience.

The exhibit and opening reception are free and open to the public. The Hartnett Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 6 p.m. on weekends. For more information, contact the Hartnett Gallery at (585) 275-4188 during gallery hours.
