University of Rochester faculty members who have considered incorporating film into their courses may want to look into special reduced admission rates for college classes that are being offered by the Dryden Theatre at George Eastman House.

In addition to reduced ticket prices, students also will have the opportunity to talk with a motion picture department staff member and tour the theatre and its projection booth. For classes of five to 20 students, the cost is $3.50 per ticket; for 21 or more students, the cost is $3 per ticket. Reservations and information are available by contacting Michael Neault, Dryden Theatre manager, at (585) 271-3361 ext. 239 or mneault@geh.org.

The University and the George Eastman House have a history of academic collaboration. Curators from the Eastman House have served as adjunct faculty in the Department of English for many years, and University students have access to the International Museum of Photography and Film and the library at the House. Under a new initiative, students applying to the L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation at the Eastman House have the option of enrolling in a two-year graduate program leading to a Master of Arts degree in English from the University.
